Degree Camshafts the Easy Way with an Altronics DIGICAM Digital Engine Degree System

Swapping in a new camshaft without degreeing it is like putting all your money on black to win at roulette—you only have a fifty/fifty chance of winning. Worse, instead of going home broke, you’re left with piston-to-valve contact issues, assembly errors, and an engine that makes less power.

There is no easier way to degree a cam than with an Altronics DIGICAM Digital Engine Degree System. This precise and compact tool replaces the large, hard-to-read degree wheels that don’t fit in cramped engine compartments. The DIGICAM’s easy-to-read digital display always maintains 0.10 degrees of crank position accuracy, and automatically calculates top dead center (TDC), cam centerline, and duration to save you time. An integrated 3/8-inch crank socket allows the DIGICAM to work with most popular V8 engine types.

Interchangeable crankshaft inserts (sold separately) adapt the DIGICAM to fit the engine you’re working on. The inserts are available individually or in a 6-piece set that’s perfect for shops or enthusiasts that build multiple engine types.
