DENSO OEM Replacement Parts Now Available at Summit Racing

We’d wager that most of you first heard of DENSO—short for Nippondenso—thanks to the company’s compact and powerful starters that helped ease header and oil pan clearance issues with an engine swap. But DENSO is more than small starters—it has been a big name in the automotive world for years, supplying OEM vehicle manufacturers around the globe with electronic, ignition, cooling, and other components.

Now you can buy DENSO replacement parts for your vehicles at Summit Racing. Many of its parts—including A/C compressors, starters, alternators, oxygen sensors, ignition wire sets, fuel pumps, filters, and more are labeled First Time Fit®. That means DENSO engineers did their homework to make sure those parts are built and tested to OEM standards for performance and fit. After all, no one wants to do the same job twice.

Fuel Injectors
DENSO has been on the cutting edge of fuel injector technology since the early 1970s, constantly improving its designs for better fuel atomization and reliability. When you swap in a set of DENSO’s First Time Fit fuel injectors, your engine will run smoother and get better fuel economy, just like it did when it was new. DENSO’s fuel injectors have a very fine spray pattern to help them meet strict emissions standards, including Super Ultra Low Emissions Vehicle (SULEV) and Partial Zero Emissions Vehicle (PZEV).

Remanufactured Alternators
Open the hood of your later model car or truck and chances are good you’ll see a DENSO alternator. DENSO First Time Fit remanufactured alternators meet or exceed all manufacturer standards, mount properly with a minimum of installation issues (especially belt alignment), and provide years of reliable service.

Here’s what DENSO does in the remanufacturing process:
• Housing damage-checked for heat warping, corrosion, or improper surface alignment, then retapped to OEM spec
• Stators and rotors are performance- and insulation-tested to 600 volts, rectifiers performance-tested to 300 volts
• Rotor slip rings are buffed to an 8-micron surface finish to minimize brush wear and abrasion • Bearings are validated to OEM standards and repacked with premium OEM-spec lubricant
• Voltage regulators are voltage tested to OEM spec
• All hardware is stripped and replated

Air/Fuel Ratio Sensors
Getting your replacement air/fuel sensors—better known as wideband oxygen sensors—from one of the companies that developed them is darn good insurance. DENSO is a pioneer in the development of modern wideband sensors. They have a very broad response range, providing much finer control of air/fuel mixtures over a wide range of operating conditions. That means better performance, improved fuel economy, and reduced emissions.

Replacing your wideband sensor(s) with DENSO First Time Fit sensors will restore OEM levels of performance and fuel economy. They feature tarnish-proof platinum electrodes for improved accuracy and longer life. They also have quick-response planar zirconia elements to quickly detect oxygen concentrations. Trust us, those are very good things.

Radiators
When your old one finally gives up the ghost, it only makes sense to replace it with a DENSO First Time Fit radiator. They’re direct replacements for the factory units—after all, DENSO probably made your OE radiator—so getting one to fit won’t be an issue. The tanks, fin pitch, core dimensions, and materials meet OE specs, and all radiators are run through DENSO’s strict durability and function tests before they go out the door.
