Dorman OE FIX Parts for Dodge Charger/Challenger/Magnum Now Available
It’s hard to believe that Dodge’s muscle car triplets—the Charger, Challenger, and the Magnum wagon—first went on sale in 2005 (2008 for the Challenger). It’s not so hard to believe that some of these cars are due for some tender loving care to stay on the road awhile longer.
If your Dodge is one of those cars—or you’re looking to buy one—take a look at these Dorman OE FIX parts. They are some of the most common failure-prone items these cars have. Dorman keeps a very sharp eye on what gets fixed or replaced most often on hundreds of vehicles. Dorman’s engineers then design high quality replacement parts—and often improve them—so you get parts that install and function like OEM, but without the OEM price tag.
Driveshaft Assemblies
The factory driveshaft has a staked, non-replaceable universal joint. When that U-joint fails, you have to replace the entire shaft. Dorman’s OE FIX driveshaft assemblies have replaceable U-joints so the next time one fails, you only have to replace that unit. The driveshafts are made from all-new materials, coated for extended rust and corrosion resistance, and come balanced and tested.
Electric Fans
These Dorman cooling fans are direct replacements for the factory fans, right down to the materials and components. The motors are tested in laboratory settings to ensure proper performance. Best of all, they cost less than getting fans at the dealer.
Transmission Pan for 8HP and 8HP70 Automatic Transmissions
The factory transmission pan is not designed with a serviceable filter. This Dorman OE FIX direct replacement transmission pan comes as a complete kit with a removable filter, gasket, and bolts for a complete installation. We also carry the replacement filters separately.
Coolant Air Bleeder Valve
The coolant air bleeder valve is designed to maintain a steady flow of coolant and lessen the chances of overheating. The 2005-10 V6-equipped cars have a valve that ends up leaking at the seam, bleeder connection, or gasket area. Dorman re-engineered the valve to better withstand the extreme temperature changes that frequently cause housing to become brittle, crack, and leak. Fits 2005-10 Charger and Magnum with V6 engines.
Engine Oil Filter Bypass Valve
The bypass valve opens when your oil filter gets clogged, allowing oil to quickly flow back into the engine to prevent oil starvation. Dorman’s OE FIX oil filter bypass valve lets you replace just the failed valve instead of having to buy the entire bypass assembly. For 2013 Charger and Challenger with 3.6L V6 engines.
Heater Hose Assembly
The OEM heater hose assembly typically fails due to cracks in the original plastic Y-connector. This OE FIX heater hose assembly upgrades the Y-connector material to aluminum for increased durability and a longer service life. Hose clamps are included. Fits 2005-08 Magnum, 2006-17 Charger, and 2008-17 Challenger with Hemi engines.
Ignition Lock Cylinder
The ignition lock cylinder on the 2005-07 Chargers and Magnums have tumblers that wear out prematurely. What’s worse, replacing the lock cylinder requires a tedious, manual coding process. Dorman solved that problem by creating a tool that automatically matches the new cylinder to your existing key. Simply insert the key into the tool, turn twice, and then insert the newly coded cylinder into the ignition lock cylinder housing.
Keyless Entry Remote
This Dorman OE FIX keyless entry remote comes with a patented programming module that plugs into the OBD II port to match the module to your vehicle’s existing coding—no costly trip to a dealer or locksmith for reprogramming needed. The remote control features lock, unlock, panic, trunk release, and start buttons. It fits 2008 Magnum, 2009-10 Charger, and 2008-10 Challenger.
