Extend the Life of Your Flat Tappet Camshaft with COMP Cams Xtreme Energy DLC Flat Tappet Lifters

Ever since the oil companies decreased the amount of zinc and phosphorus (ZDDP) from our favorite oils, there’s been a huge uptick in flat tappet camshaft failure.

COMP Cams has the solution with their Xtreme Energy DLC Flat Tappet Lifters. The secret to their increased longevity is the Diamond-Like Coating (DLC) that produces an extremely hard, tough surface on the lifter faces. That reduces friction at the cam lobe/lifter interface, extending the life of the lifters and camshaft while significantly reducing the likelihood of flattened cam lobes. Additionally, DLC virtually eliminates the need for the traditional break-in procedure associated with cast iron camshafts and flat tappet lifters.

COMP Cams Xtreme Energy DLC Flat Tappet Lifters are compatible with all cast iron and steel camshafts. They are available in versions for hydraulic and solid flat tappet camshafts for these engines:
