Feed Your Late Model Muscle Car All the Air It Wants with a K&N Cold Air Intake
Have basic hand tools and an hour to spare? Install a K&N Cold Air Intake and feed your late model Camaro, Charger/Challenger, or Mustang all the cold, dense, power-building air it wants. K&N guarantees its intakes flow up to 50% more air than the factory stuff for dyno-proven power increases. For example, a 2014 Mustang GT with a 57 Series FIPK intake put an extra 10 horsepower and 16.2 lbs.-ft of torque to the rear wheels. That's certainly an hour well-spent.
A K&N Cold Air Intake delivers other benefits:
• Improved throttle response
• Aggressive sound under acceleration
• Excellent protection from dirt and dust without reducing airflow
• Washable, reusable oiled cotton gauze filter element (except Blackhawk Series)
• 10-Year/Million Mile limited warranty—you’ll never have to buy another intake system
Summit Racing carries several types of K&N Cold Air Intakes for your late model muscle car.
57 Series FIPK
FIPK intakes feature a high-flow composite air tube that's designed to reduce turbulence and accelerate airflow into the engine. Some FIPK systems replace the entire factory intake system while others reuse the factory air box or have a filter that bolts directly to the engine’s throttle body.
63 Series Aircharger
The Aircharger cold air intake is a short-ram style system with a large conical filter element for maximum power gains. It has a high-flow composite air tube and a steel heat shield to isolate the filter element from hot underhood air. Aircharger intakes are not California-emissions-legal.
69 Series Typhoon
The Typhoon short-ram intakes feature a free-flowing, mandrel-bent aluminum air tube that is available polished or with a textured black powdercoat finish. You get a steel heat shield or a composite air box depending on the application.
Blackhawk Series
Blackhawk intakes have an aluminum air tube that is fully welded, hand-worked to remove any rough edges or metal burrs, and has a flat black powdercoat finish. The intakes also have a K&N’s Dryflow synthetic filter element that does not need oiling, is reusable, and easier to clean than an oiled filter element. Most Blackhawk intakes are not California emissions-legal.
