Fix What Ails Your Vehicle's Chassis with Dorman Replacement Parts
Driving sure is hard on your vehicle’s suspension. It’s a credit to the OEMs that factory suspension components last as long as they do. But eventually, you’ll have to replace the things that fail—and Summit Racing will be ready to help with a large selection of top-quality Dorman replacement parts.
Dorman doesn’t just make copies of the factory parts. Dorman’s engineers look for ways to improve them so they are stronger, last longer, and restore your vehicle to as-new. You get parts that install and function like OEM, but without the dealer price tag.
Summit Racing offers all sorts of Dorman chassis parts like sway bars; springs; bushings; steering components; mounts and brackets; and much more. We also carry these parts:
Control Arms
How can you tell when a control arm is ready to let go? The steering wheel will vibrate and/or wobble, you’ll hear clunks under acceleration or over bumps, and the vehicle will tend to pull to one side when moving in a straight line. You can know for sure by jacking up the vehicle and moving the suspect wheel back and forth. If it’s easy to move, you have a bent or worn-out control arm.
Summit Racing lists over 2,500 Dorman control arms on its website for front and rear independent suspension setups. They come with new bushings and ball joints as necessary.
Ball Joints
Sometimes you have the symptoms of a worn-out control arm, but it’s the ball joint that’s gone wrong. Replacing a ball joint is pretty straightforward, and Summit Racing has Dorman ball joints for over 470 vehicles. Hardware is included where required.
Tie Rod Ends
The steering wheel shakes. Then the vehicle vibrates when you speed up, slow down, or turn. And the inside tread on the front tires is wearing out faster than the outside. Yep, you’ve got a bad tie rod end—and if you don’t fix it, you might well lose all steering control the next time you drive. Get the Dorman tie rod or rods you need at Summit Racing and take care of the problem now. They’re not too hard to install and come with necessary hardware.
