Flex-A-Lite Engine Oil and Transmission Coolers Now Available at Summit Racing

Racing, towing, and other extreme use is murder on engine oil and transmission fluid. The hotter these fluids get, the less heat and wear protection they provide to critical engine and transmission components.

External coolers like these Flex-A-Lite engine and transmission coolers are much more efficient than the factory coolers in your radiator. The all-aluminum coolers are very light and strong; get one with an optional single or dual electric fan and you have a perfect setup for serious cooling.

Engine Oil Coolers
Flex-A-Lite engine oil coolers provide up to four times the heat dissipation compared to less expensive coolers. They have louvered fins plus turbolator fins built into the internal cooling plates to prevent an outer layer of fluid forming near the plate walls that is cooler than the fluid flowing through the center of the plate. That makes the coolers much more efficient. Their thick, 1 3/4 inch core minimizes oil pressure drop too. The coolers are available in 7-, 17-, 21-, and 23-row models with interchangeable -8, -10, and -12 AN fittings.

Transmission Coolers
These coolers have a dimpled plate and fin design that improves cooling efficiency compared to traditional tube-and-fin designs. The dimple plates redirect oil flow and the unique louvered fin design provides high heat transfer and low pressure drop. The coolers are available in 8-, 17-, 23-, and 30-row models with -6 AN or 3/8 inch barb fittings.
