Flex-A-Lite Extruded Core Aluminum Radiators Now Available at Summit Racing

Flex-A-Lite says its Extruded Tube Core aluminum radiators make other radiators old-fashioned. Instead of using multiple rows of tubes, the Extruded Tube Core radiators feature a single core of extruded tubes shaped like thin rectangles. This creates a very strong core with increased volume that increases the contact area between the hot coolant and the tubes.

This design also provides a flat surface to braze the cooling fins onto, maximizing contact between the tubes and fins. The cooling fins are punched with specific louver patterns to direct airflow. The combination of features provides much improved heat rejection and better cooling in a strong, lightweight package.

Other features include:
• Wind tunnel-proven to be more efficient than standard tube radiators
• 100-psi burst rating
• Corner subhead to reinforce the cooling tube-to-header connection to prevent cracking and leaks
• Two-year transferable limited warranty

Flex-A-Lite Extruded Core radiators are available in universal-fit models with 90° mounting brackets or direct-fit versions that bolt in without cutting or drilling. Some radiators are available with fully shrouded single or dual electric fans, and some are designed specifically for LS engine swaps. All radiators include a 22-24 lb. cap and a drain petcock.
