Fox Racing Shox Truck and Off-Road Shocks Now Available at Summit Racing

Fox Racing got its start in the mid-1970s making shocks for motocross racing. But Fox has been into off-road trucks and racing almost as long; legendary desert racer Roger Mears won plenty of races in the late 1970s running Fox shocks on his Nissan pickup. If you need more convincing on how good this stuff is, note that Fox Racing shock technology is on Ford’s F-150 Raptors, and Toyota TRD Pro Tacomas, Tundras, and 4Runners.

You can get that same race-winning performance with the Fox Racing shocks, steering stabilizers, and coil-over kits Summit Racing now carries. Here are a few examples.

Factory Race Series 2.5 Coil-Over Reservoir Shock Kits
These Factory Race Series Coil-Over Reservoir shocks provide improved damping no matter what the terrain. Direct replacements for the factory shocks, they feature integrated coil springs that come factory pre-set to level your vehicle, and the springs can be adjusted for preload and ride height. Factory Race Series 2.5 Coil-Over kits are available for popular GM, Ford, Dodge, Nissan, and Toyota trucks and SUVs.

Features
• Application-specific shock valving to maximize performance
• JM92 Advanced Suspension Fluid for improved performance at variable temperatures
• 2.5" smooth bore and honed, seamless alloy body and external reservoir
• 7/8" hard chrome plated steel shafts
• Hard-anodized, 6061-T6 aluminum high-flow pistons
• PTFE-lined, heat-treated, alloy steel spherical bearings
• Redundant sealing pack system—main seal, wiper seal, and scraper seal
• Black-anodized, CNC-machined 6061-T6 billet aluminum components

Factory Race Series Air Shocks
The first Fox air shock was invented by Bob Fox back in 1974, and the design has been improved and refined in the 40-odd years since. The design of the Factory Race Series air shock allows for infinite adjustability of the spring race by changing the nitrogen gas charge pressure. The shocks also have adjustable compression and rebound valving. Your choice of two inch (500 lbs. maximum load) or 2.5 inch (1,200 lbs. maximum load) diameter shock bodies.

Features
• Tunable, velocity sensitive valving
• JM92 Advanced Suspension Fluid for improved performance at variable temperatures
• Hard chromed 4130 steel hollow shafts are very lightweight—ideal for rock crawlers
• Smooth bore and honed, seamless steel shock bodies
• Hard-anodized, 6061-T6 aluminum high-flow pistons
• PTFE-lined, heat-treated, alloy steel spherical bearings
• Redundant sealing pack system—main seal, wiper seal, and scraper seal
• Black-anodized, CNC-machined 6061-T6 billet aluminum components

Performance Series IFP Steering Stabilizers
These steering stabilizers use Fox’s proven damping technology to take the load off your steering components and keep the front tires tracking straight and true. This is especially valuable if you are running larger off-road tires, which often have tread patterns that can cause your front end to wander.

The Internal Floating Piston (IFP) monotube design separates the shock oil from the high-pressure, nitrogen charged gas chamber. This eliminates oil aeration, allowing maximum performance from the factory-tuned precision valving.
Features
• Two inch diameter, smooth bore and honed seamless alloy bodies
• Application-specific valving for maximum performance
• 5/8" hard chrome plated, heat-treated alloy steel shaft resists pitting and scratches that can damage shaft seals
• Race-developed, high-flow piston design
• JM92 Advanced Suspension Fluid for improved performance at variable temperatures
• Quiet nitrile rubber bushings allow for increased suspension articulation

If you have a Jeep Wrangler JK, look into the Fox Racing 2.0 Performance Series ATS Steering Stabilizers. Their advanced design cancels unwanted steering forces in both directions, eliminating the need for two opposing stabilizers. The ATS stabilizers include a new track bar relocation bolt and 1 3/8 inch tie rod mounting clamp to move them up and out of the way. Other features include:
• 24 clicks of external adjustment for fine-tuning
• Integrated external reservoir allows for additional fluid capacity—improves cooling during extreme use
• 2.0 inch diameter, 6061 T-6 aluminum body
• 5/8 inch hard chrome plated, heat-treated alloy steel shaft
• Race-developed, high-flow piston design
• JM92 Advanced Suspension Fluid for improved performance at variable temperatures
* Quiet nitrile rubber bushings allow for increased suspension articulation

Summit Racing also carries Fox Racing Shox coil-over shocks, Factory Series shock kits, coil-over springs, and bump stops.
