FTI Performance 4L80E Level 2 and Level 3 Transmissions Are Built to Handle Big Power

GM’s 4L80E four-speed overdrive automatic transmission is a popular choice for cars with LS engine swaps or later model GM trucks with modified LS engines. It can handle around 450 horsepower and 450 lbs.-ft. of torque in stock form, but won’t live long behind engines making more steam. If that’s you, an FTI Performance 4L80E Level 2 or Level 3 Transmission is what you need.

Level 2 Transmissions are rated to handle up to 700 horsepower. They’re built with these components:
• Performance clutches
• Performance shift kit
• Upgraded TCC regulator valve
• 34-element sprag
• Upgraded boost valve and regulator
• Heavy-duty intermediate piston spring retainer plate
• Direct clutch dual feed
• HD intermediate clutch snap ring
• New bushings and bearings
• All new wiring including solenoids, sensors, and electronics

Level 3 Transmissions are rated to handle up to 1,000 horsepower. They’re built with the same components as the Level 2 transmissions plus a 300m billet steel input shaft and a rollerized billet steel forward clutch hub to replace the breakage-prone factory clutch hub.

FTI Performance 4L80E Level 2 and Level 3 Transmissions are available with an early style (1991-97) or late style (1997-2009) case. You can get a transmission by itself or in a complete package with a matched 9.5-inch diameter billet torque converter, a locking filler tube and dipstick, and a case of high-performance transmission fluid.

• 2,800 RPM

• 3,200 RPM
• 3,600 RPM
