Gain Massive Clutch Torque Capacity with a Summit Racing™ Pro Twin Clutch Kit

Gearheads love manual transmissions. It doesn’t matter if it’s a classic unsynchronized 3-speed gearbox or one of today’s computer-controlled stick shifts with active rev matching capabilities, the performance enthusiast community by and large prefers to row their own gears.

But harnessing 350 plus horsepower in a 1990s and later vehicle meant installing a clutch with a disc so aggressive it could rattle the fillings out of your teeth during take-off. Just as bad, it took so much force to disengage the pressure plate that you needed calves the size of a Mr. Olympia finalist to hold the clutch pedal to the floor at a traffic light.

Thankfully, some engineers came up with a practical solution in the form of twin-disc clutch systems that have more torque holding capability, low pedal effort, and provide a smooth take-off. Our Summit Racing™ Pro Twin Clutch Kits are capable of supporting far more torque than the best single disc clutch the factory ever offered.

The kits are available with an organic disc that can support up to 700 lbs.-ft. of torque or with a 6-puck cerametallic disc good for 1,000 lbs.-ft. of torque.

For the ultimate in durability and performance, each Pro Twin Clutch Kit is also packaged with a matching billet steel flywheel. To complete the installation, an alignment tool, Loctite, and complete instructions are included.
