GearStar Performance 4L65E Transmissions Are Built to Handle Big Power

GM’s 4L65E is a very popular transmission for LS and believe it or not, small block Mopar and Gen III Hemi swaps. Get a GearStar Level 3 or Level 4 4L65E Transmission and you’ll have a good one. Each transmission is built by a single tech from start to finish—they even hand stamp the transmission with the builder’s initials and serial number.

GearStar also goes through the trouble to custom-build Yank torque converters in-house using the same processes used by GM, Ford, and Chrysler. They feature custom-machined pumps and billet stators to increase flow and maximize pressure for consistent shifts.

Every transmission/torque converter combo is put on a dyno and run to the equivalent of 60 miles on the street and at speeds of up to 130 MPH. This process confirms line pressures, shift points, and downshifts as well as converter stall speed and lockup operation.

GearStar backs their transmissions with a limited three-year/36,000-mile warranty against failure due to defects in workmanship and/or parts. That’s a strong warranty for a performance transmission.
