Chevrolet Performance has done it again. It’s created a new LS7 crate engine that makes 570 horsepower and 540 lbs.-ft. of torque at the crank, ready to drop in your next hot rod project. All that horsepower is covered by a 24-month/50,000 mile factory limited warranty, too.

The LS427/570 was built with engine swaps in mind. Chevrolet Performance replaced the OE LS7 dry sump oiling system with a wet sump system for easier installation. That means you don’t have to make room for a dry sump oil reservoir tank or plumbing, a big plus for smaller engine bays.

The Chevrolet Performance LS427/570 crate engine runs on premium pump gas and has a 7,000 RPM rev limit. It's designed for use with the LS427 Engine Controller NAL-19420000. This controller is calibrated by GM engineers specifically for this engine, and has all the wiring and connections you need to get up and running, and nothing you don’t.

Eventually you’ll need to change the oil, oil filter, air filter, and coolant for your LS427/570. Keep it all factory-approved with these Mobil 1, ACDelco, and Chevrolet Performance products:

Mobil 1 15W-50 Motor Oil
Mobil 1 full synthetic motor oil is recommended for all Chevrolet Performance crate engines. The LS427/570 will need Mobil 1 15W-50 oil to provide exceptional protection against wear even under extreme conditions. It will help keep your crate engine running like new by reducing sludge, deposit buildup, and minimizing oil breakdown. Mobil 1 flows as low as -40 degrees Fahrenheit—no worries about oil starvation at engine startup—and can withstand temperatures up to 500 degrees Fahrenheit.

ACDelco Professional Oil Filter
