Get Back Lost Horsepower with a Davies Craig EWP®80 Electric Water Pump
Mechanical belt-driven water pumps take a significant amount of power to operate. The Davies Craig EWP80 Electric Water Pump not only rids your engine of parasitic power loss, it also does a bang-up job of increasing cooling capacity, eliminating heat soak for better engine temperature control, and reducing fuel consumption.
The lightweight aluminum EWP80 can be used on virtually any engine. Its design allows for easy mounting into the bottom radiator hose. It delivers 23.78 GPM (gallons per minute) of coolant flow at 12 volts while drawing only 7.5 amps. Coolant flows in and out of the pump through a 35mm (1 3/8-inch) diameter inlet and outlet with barb-style attachments for easy hose fitting and clamping. An attractive matte black powdercoated finish provides the pump with good looks and corrosion protection.
The Davies Craig EWP80 Electric Water Pump is available in three versions:
Water pump only—Perfect for builders with the skills to fabricate mounting hardware and electrical connections.
Water pump kit—Includes the water pump plus a wiring harness, a 12-volt/40 amp relay, electrical connectors, and hose clamps.
Water pump combo kit—Includes everything in the water pump kit plus an LCD Digital Fan Controller that varies the water pump’s speed and coolant flow to keep engine temperatures in check, a fan controller mounting bracket and hardware, and a brass sending unit.
The Davies Craig EWP80 Electric Water Pump is recommended as replacement for mechanical water pumps on naturally aspirated engines up to 2.0L. It’s also ideal for use as an auxiliary coolant pump for larger engines. Additionally, the EWP80 is suitable for installation on any water-to-air intercooler on turbo and supercharger applications.
For larger displacement applications, consider a Davies Craig EWP150 Series Electric Water Pump. They are suitable for six-cylinder, V8, heavy-duty 4x4, and other applications making over 400 horsepower.
