Get Better Braking Performance and Longer Rotor Life with Frozen Rotors Brake Rotors
Wooly mammoths and ice cream are just two items that last a long time when they’re frozen. You can add brake rotors to the list thanks to Frozen Rotors. The company sources the highest-quality rotors it can find and puts them in a deep freeze for 60 hours using a cryogenic process. The process inhibits internal oxidation and increases thermal fatigue resistance of the rotor material.
For you, that means rotors that are stronger, more wear resistant, and offer more predictable, consistent brake performance. Even better, a set of Frozen Rotors brake rotors can last up to three times longer than untreated rotors. That can save you some serious money.
Frozen Rotors Brake Rotors are available in solid-surface and slotted-surface versions for hundreds of domestic and import vehicles all the way back to 1963. The rotors are sold individually.
Summit Racing also carries Frozen Rotors' Brake Caliper Piston Spreader for four- and six-piston calipers. Insert the spreading plates one way for wider six-piston calipers or turn the unit 90 degrees and use the plate sides for four-piston calipers. The spreader will retract the pistons evenly and all the way back into the bores with one squeeze of the levers. The pivot bushings are all made from nylon to ensure smooth action.
