One of the easiest ways to significantly improve the performance of your HEI distributor is to replace the stock ignition module with one designed for more performance, like our Summit Racing™ High Energy HEI Ignition Module. By increasing the coil drive current by 50% over stock, the Summit Racing module saturates the coil faster to deliver more spark energy to the spark plugs to improve power over an extended RPM range. Plus, the increased current also makes it possible to use wider spark-plug gaps to get a more complete burn of the fuel mixture in the cylinders. The built-in rev limiter allows you to adjust the RPM limit between 5,000 to 9,500 RPM. 

The Summit Racing GM High Energy HEI Module replaces all 4-pin type modules used with factory or aftermarket HEI distributors with a vacuum advance canister.
