Edelbrock’s Pro-Flo 4 EFI Systems look a lot like a typical throttle-body style EFI system, which incorporates the fuel injectors and fuel rails within the throttle body. But the Pro-Flo 4 systems are anything but. Instead of mounting the injectors and fuel rails in the throttle body, Edelbrock mounted them on the system’s intake manifold, creating a sequential-port EFI system with one injector per cylinder and a 1,000 CFM throttle body that flows only air. That means superior fuel distribution, smoother idle, great throttle response, and improved peak power. The Pro-Flo 4 system’s design also allows you to use a carburetor-style air cleaner for a traditional look.

Pro-Flo 4 EFI Systems are self-learning. The ECU comes loaded with fuel and timing calibrations and a built-in setup wizard so you can create a base map in minutes. The ECU will continually adjust engine parameters as the vehicle is driven to further improve performance—no laptop tuning or costly dyno sessions required. You can also fine-tune the system using Edelbrock’s E-Tuner 4 app to manually adjust the fuel map and other parameters.

Most Pro-Flo 4 systems that come with an electronic distributor allow you to Instantly adjust the ignition curve specifically for your engine configuration. That eliminates the hassle and limitations of a standard distributor’s advance mechanism.
