From hair care to kitchenware, two-in-one products make life easier. Why shouldn’t it be any different for the tires you use on your street-driven drag car? Mickey Thompson has you covered with its ET Street Series Tires. Most are DOT-approved for street use and have a sticky tread compound for great traction at the track.
ET Street R Radial Tires are for the more track-focused racer who only takes their ride out on the streets occasionally. The tire’s stiff sidewall makes them more stable for predictable handing, and the tubeless construction provides leak-free sealing without the expense and hassle of tubes. The ET Street R Radial Tires are available in 15-, 17-, 18-, and 20-inch sizes.
The ET Street R Bias-Ply Tires are basically a bias-ply version of the ET Street R radial tire, with just enough tread for street use in dry conditions. Its M5 rubber compound provides great traction at the track, especially on heavier cars with manual transmissions. The tires are available in 15-and 17-inch sizes.
The ET Street S/S Tires have the same radial construction and R2 tread compound as the Street R Radials but have a tread design that offers 30 percent better wet-weather traction. That makes them more streetable yet provides good traction at the track. The Street S/S tires are available in 15-, 16-, 17-, 18-, 19-, and 20-inch sizes.
If you need maximum traction and don’t care about running on the street, the ET Street Radial Pro Tires are for you. Available in 275/60-15 and 315/60-15 sizes, the tires are built to handle more power for better launches and have the sticky R2 tread compound with just enough pattern to meet drag radial class rules. The Radial Pros are not DOT-approved for street use.
You’re going to need front tires too. The ET Street Front Tires are DOT-approved with a narrow tread width that minimizes rolling resistance to help reduce elapsed times. The stiff sidewall provides excellent stability at high speed so you track straight and true down the strip. You can get them to fit 15-, 17-, and 18-inch wheels.
