Get the Right Centerforce Clutch for Your Jeep from Summit Racing

The replacement clutch you need for your Jeep JK Wrangler might not be right for some other guy’s JK. That’s why Centerforce makes several types of clutch kits, from stock replacement to full-bore performance vehicles that need major amounts of clamping force.

Most clutch kits have diaphragm-style pressure plates that use Centerforce’s patented centrifugal weight system. As the clutch spins, centrifugal force is applied to the weights that is transferred through the diaphragm to the pressure plate. This increases clamp load as engine RPM increases.

Centerforce Clutch Kits include the disc, pressure plate, throwout bearing, pilot bushing, and an alignment tool.

Centerforce I Clutch Kits
Centerforce I clutch kits are ideal for Jeeps with stock engines or have bolt-on modifications like headers, cold air intakes, etc. They come with a full-face organic clutch disc.
Available Applications
• 1987-2011 Wrangler
• 1986-2001 XJ Cherokee
• 1986-90 Wagoneer

Centerforce II Clutch Kits
Centerforce II clutch kits provide up to a 60 percent increase in holding capacity over stock systems. Along with Centerforce’s centrifugal weight system, the pressure plate has a patented ball bearing design to further increase clamp load while lightening pedal effort. Centerforce II clutch kits come with a full-face organic clutch disc.
Available Applications
• 1987-2018 Wrangler
• 1987-2001 XJ Cherokee
• 1987-90 Wagoneer

Centerforce Dual Friction Clutch Kits
Centerforce Dual Friction clutches generate up to a 90 percent increase in holding capacity over stock systems. They have a clutch disc with a full organic face on one side and a segmented organic face on the other. Combined with a matched pressure plate with Centerforce’s patented centrifugal weight system and ball bearing construction, you get high clamp loads plus smooth engagement and light pedal pressure. That makes a Dual Friction clutch ideal for street and off-road use where precise clutch modulation can be the difference between going along and getting stuck.
Available Applications
• 1966-83 CJ5
• 1966-75 CJ6
• 1976-86 CJ7
• 1968-90 Wagoneer/Grand Wagoneer
• 1986-2001 XJ Cherokee
• 1987-2018 Wrangler

Summit Racing also carries Centerforce CNC-machined billet steel flywheels that are precision-balanced and closely match OEM flywheel weight. You get a stronger flywheel that requires no modifications to your Centerforce or other stock replacement clutch.
