Get Your LS Engine Swap Up and Running with a Haltech Nexus Rebel LS ECU

The Haltech Nexus Rebel LS Gen 3 and Gen 4 ECU Kits make getting an LS engine up and running easier. Designed for Gen III and Gen IV engines with a T-56 manual transmission, they combine engine management, wideband O2 controller, a data logger, and a Wi-Fi module in a single unit. The pre-labeled, drop-in wiring harness connects to existing factory LS sensors for a seamless installation.

Answer a few basic questions and the setup wizard in Haltech’s NSP tuning software will build a complex engine map so the engine will start, idle, and run. The ECU then uses Haltech’s advanced self-learning technologies to continually adjust engine idle, running, and drivability as you drive. The NSP tuning software also lets you fine-tune your engine combo for optimum horsepower, drivability, and longevity.

The modular harness design even allows you to mix and match throttle, alternator, and fuel injector types without cutting or patching in the proper connectors. For example, you can add a drive-by-wire throttle body to a Gen III LS or do an EV1 to EV6 fuel injector swap using the appropriate adapter sub-harness.

The Nexus Rebel LS ECUs are compatible with Haltech's plug-and-play CAN accessories like the iC-7 dash, keypads, PDM, EGT, wideband and flex-fuel sensors. They also have five digital pulsed outputs for solenoids, shift lights, or a tach; two analog voltage inputs; and four synchronized pulsed inputs for things like flex fuel and RPM sensors.

The Haltech Nexus Rebel LS Gen 3 and Gen 4 ECUs come with these components:
• Main terminated wiring harness
• Throttle sub-harness
• Injector sub-harness with appropriate connectors
• Alternator adapter harness set (2 Pin Bosch, 4 Pin Delco, 2 Pin Yazaki)
• T-56 manual transmission harness
• Bosch LSU 4.9 wideband O2 sensor and bung
• Air temperature sensor and bung

The Gen 3 kit also includes a knock sensor adapter harness. The Gen 4 kit has an accelerator pedal position adapter harness for a Corvette throttle pedal plus MAP sensor and oil pressure adapter harnesses.

If you want to run a Nexus Rebel LS ECU on a car with a GM 4L60E, 4L65E, or 4L80E automatic, you’ll need Haltech’s Nexus Ti4L Transmission Interface Kit. It’s an add-on transmission controller expansion module that’s programmed using a simple setup wizard in the Haltech Connect app. The Nexus Ti4L also has long-term learning strategies via closed-loop line pressure control to improve shifting as you drive.
