Get Your Parts Really, Really Clean with a Raytech TurboSonic Power Pro Ultrasonic Cleaner
Cleaning parts covered in grease, grime, and assorted yuck is not on anyone’s Top 5 Fun Garage Jobs. It’s even less fun when you’re cleaning gears and other intricate parts and you just can’t get stuff out of the nooks and crannies.
That’s where an ultrasonic cleaner like this Raytech TurboSonic Power Pro comes in mighty handy. Ultrasonic cleaners use a combination of heat and high frequency sound waves produced by electronic transducers to create cavitation bubbles in the cleaning liquid. When the bubbles collapse, they create a cleaning action that can remove dirt, grease, oils, and other deposits from all surfaces of cast iron, steel, stainless steel, copper, and even soft metals like aluminum and zinc with the proper cleaning solution.
At 35.75 inches long, 8 inches wide, and 6.250 inches deep, the TurboSonic Power Pro has a seven-gallon stainless steel tank with a mesh basket that can hold a wide range of parts. Other features include:
• Solution heater adjustable from 68 to 176 degrees F
• Machine can be set to run continuously or timed from one to 20 minutes
• Wheels for easy movement around the shop
• Built-in drain system
You can also use the TurboSonic Power Pro to prevent corrosion of your clean steel parts with the optional lube tank. Simply set the tank in the Power Pro’s tank filled with cleaner, put in the part(s), and fill with lube. The ultrasonic action is transmitted through the cleaning solution into the lube, allowing it to cover all areas of a part and leave a dry film of lubrication on all surfaces.
Using the proper cleaning solution is critical with an ultrasonic cleaner. Summit Racing carries several types of solution compatible with your TurboSonic Power Pro:
• Ferrous Cleaning Solution for cast iron, steel, and stainless steel
• Non-Ferrous Cleaning Solution for brass, copper, and bronze
• CR Solution for removing light rust and scale from steel and aluminum
• Sonic Lube lubricant for steel
