The variable vane turbocharger design used in the late model Duramax engines can also help slow down your truck. The Variable Vane Exhaust Brake electronically closes off the vanes to create up to 130 retarding horsepower. This braking force will help to maintain your speed on descents and curves, giving you better control of your truck and load. The unit plugs into existing factory ports and is controlled by a rotary switch on your dash.

BD Diesel Black FleX-Plate for 2001-19 Duramax
Designed to handle up to 1,500 lbs.-ft. of torque, this forged billet steel flexplate is black oxide-coated to prevent corrosion and hydrogen embrittlement. The flexplate is twice as thick as stock and has passed the stringent 29.3 SFI testing, making it legal for use in race sanctioning bodies specific to high horsepower diesels. The Black FleX-Plate is a direct bolt-in and fits OEM and aftermarket torque converters.
