Give Your Jeep Some Extra Kick with an Edelbrock/COMP Cams Jeep 4.0L Head and Cam Package

Jeep’s 4.0L inline six cylinder engine is built like an anvil. One thing a 4.0L could use is some help in the horsepower department, and a Summit Racing Edelbrock/COMP Cams Head and Cam Package delivers. Available for carbureted and fuel-injected engines, the Edelbrock Head and Cam Package features these components:

Performer Cylinder Head
The Performer Cylinder Head is made from aluminum, so it weighs about half of what a factory iron head does. The 144cc intake and 77cc exhaust ports flow plenty of air, and the heart-shaped, ‘fast-burn’ 55cc combustion chamber design is more efficient than the factory chambers for a more complete burn of the air and fuel. The Performer head comes fully assembled with 1.91 inch intake/1.50 inch exhaust valves, valve springs, locks, retainers, and valve stem seals.

Other features include:
• 1.260" valve springs rated to .540" of valve lift
• Larger, reinforced rocker arm bosses for valvetrain stability at high RPM
• 3/4" thick deck adds stiffness and stability
• Retains the factory valve angle, pushrod length, and valve cover bolt pattern
• Machined for use with a distributor or with coil pack ignition

The Edelbrock Performer Cylinder Head is designed for use with a 1991-2006 intake manifold and a 1991-98 exhaust header or a compatible aftermarket header.

COMP Cams Xtreme 4x4 Camshafts
The Xtreme 4x4 Camshafts have an aggressive lobe profile to provide better throttle response plus more mid- and top-end horsepower. The flat tappet camshafts are available in two versions:

Xtreme 4x4 Camshaft for EFI Engines
• Operating Range: 900-5,500 RPM
• Duration @ .050": 205°/213°
• Lift: .488"/.507"
• Lobe Separation: 113°

Xtreme 4x4 Camshaft for Carbureted Engines
• Operating Range: 1,000-5,500 RPM
• Duration @ .050": 209°/213°
• Lift: .498"/.507"
• Lobe Separation: 110°
