As good as your Fox Body, SN-95, New Edge, or S197 Mustang is, it can benefit from a well-sorted suspension package. And that’s exactly what you get from QA1. Their Proma Star coilover shocks, Suspension Kits, and other components will improve your Mustang’s performance around the curves and provide more control on the dragstrip.

Proma Star Adjustable Coilover Systems
QA1 Proma Star Adjustable Coilover Systems have adjustable valving that let you dial in your desired level performance—you don’t even have to take them off the car. The single-adjustable versions have 18-position valving that controls compression and rebound simultaneously. The double-adjustable shocks let you set compression and rebound individually.

The Proma Star front struts have an inverted cartridge design with a large diameter shaft to resist side loading. That ensures smoother and more consistent performance during hard cornering and braking. The lightweight aluminum body offers reduced unsprung weight to improve suspension responsiveness.

Proma Star Adjustable Coilovers have these other features:
• Ride height-adjustable from zero to two inches
• Adjustable caster-camber plates for front struts
• Lightweight aluminum bodies reduce unsprung weight
• Dyno-tuned coil spring rates

Level 1 Handling Kits
These kits provide an excellent blend of handling and ride comfort. They include Pro-Coil single-adjustable front and coilover shocks and a larger 1.25-inch hollow sway bar, and tie rod adjuster sleeves. The shocks have 18 settings so you can dial in the rebound rate for more aggressive handling, a more comfortable ride, or a happy compromise between them.

Level 2 and Level 3 Handling Kits
These kits offer 0 to 2 inches of front and 1.25 inches of rear ride height adjustability. The rear triangulated four-link offers clearance for up to 12-inch-wide wheels and 335-series tires with mini-tubs. Adjusting ride height, pinion angle, or wheelbase is as simple as a few tweaks–no link removal required. The front suspension is a complete bolt-in, while the four-link rear suspension requires a little welding.

Both Handling Kits include these components:
• Tubular steel K-member is 50% lighter than stock K-member and offers improved geometry
• Tubular front lower control arms
• Adjustable upper and boxed lower rear trailing arms
• Front and rear sway bars
• Bump steer kit

The Level 2 Handling Kits have Street Series front control arms with low-friction ball joints and double-adjustable Pro Coil coilovers.

The Level 3 Handling Kits feature Race Series front control arms with an eccentric adjustment sleeve for precise camber tuning and up to a half-inch of track width adjustment. They also include double-adjustable Pro Coil front coilovers and MOD Series rear coilovers.

Level 2 and Level 3 Drag Racing Suspension Kits
QA1 Drag Racing Suspension Kits improve both straight line stability and 60-foot times and have softer spring rates for better weight transfer. Both kits have these components:
• Race Series tubular front lower control arms with stiffer composite bushings
• Tubular steel K-member
• Adjustable upper and boxed lower rear trailing arms
• Rear sway bar
• Bump steer kit

The Level 2 kit comes with Pro Coil double-adjustable coilovers. The Level 3 kit has Pro Coil front and MOD Series rear double-adjustable coilovers.

Summit Racing also offers QA1’s Proma Star front struts without springs and hardware. The caster-camber plates and front lower control arms are also available separately.
