Go Racing with Confidence with a Summit Racing™ Grand National Axle Assembly

Summit Racing offers strong, affordable 9-inch Ford Grand National Axle Assemblies. Run one and you'll have one less thing to worry about when you're in the thick of Saturday night's main feature.

The Summit Racing™ Grand National Axle Assemblies have the good stuff: 8620 heat-treated solid steel axle shafts (your choice of 28- or 31-splines); lightweight Grand National steel hub assemblies; a reconditioned center section; and brake rotors, wheel bearings, and seals.

Ideal for Street Stock and Late Model class racing, the axle assemblies are a full-float design. Not only is a full floater stronger, it is safer. Since the wheels bolt to the hub assembly, the axle shafts simply transfer torque. If you kiss the wall during a race or a shaft breaks, your wheel and tire don't go flying off into a pack of race cars.

And because they are based on the Ford 9-inch axle, the Summit Racing Grand National Axle Assemblies accept any of the 8 zillion gear ratios, third members and cases, spools, and other components available for the most popular rear axle in racing.

The Summit Racing Grand National Axle Assemblies are available in universal-fit versions or for the popular 1978-87 GM G-body chassis. The axle tubes are turned to allow the easy installation of chassis tubing and suspension mounts. That saves you both time and money. You can specify hubs with a 5 x 4 3/4 inch or 5 x 5 inch wheel bolt pattern. Summit Racing even presses the wheel studs into the hubs for you and throws in the lug nuts.

Summit Racing offers aluminum and nodular iron gear cases, lightweight ring and pinion gear sets, and Trac-Loc differentials so you can put together a complete axle assembly that won't consume your entire race budget.
