Have Everything You Need for a Disc Brake Job with a Summit Racing™ Disc Brake Service Parts Combo
Servicing disc brakes isn’t a difficult job, especially when you have the right tools at hand. Our Summit Racing™ Disc Brake Service Parts Combo has the tools you need in one convenient package. Here’s what you get:
The Motive Products Power Bleeder Kit uses pressurized brake fluid to force air and old fluid out of your brake lines. Just pour clean fluid into the two quart pressure tank, attach the Power Bleeder cap to your fluid reservoir, and pressurize the system using the built-in hand pump and pressure gauge. It’s designed for most mid-1960s to early 1980s domestic vehicles that have a rectangular flat-top dual master cylinder. Summit Racing does carry other Motive Products Power Bleeder Kits for late model and import vehicles.
You’re going to need to crack open the bleeder screws on the calipers. The Lisle Brake Bleeder Wrenches in our combo are made from chrome-plated steel and have an offset design for easy access to screws. We include wrenches for 1/4 inch, 3/8 inch, 8mm, and 10mm screws.
The OEM Tools Brake Caliper Brush features extra-durable stainless steel wire bristles to clean brake calipers, shims, and other areas when doing brake work. The bristles are angled to get into those tight spots, and the molded handle fits better in your hand so you can scrub longer with less discomfort
The Mueller Kueps Uni-Hooks are made from bendable aluminum so you can hang brake calipers safely out of the way. The hooks have a fluorescent green rubber coating for grip and support, and can hold calipers weighing up to eight pounds. When they’re not holding up brake calipers, Uni-Hooks are handy for holding electrical cords and hoses off the garage floor.
You can never have enough drain pans. Having dedicated pans for oil, coolant, etc. helps prevent contamination—a big deal when you take fluid to the recycler. The Dorman Drain Pan in our combo holds 15 quarts and has a breather vent, center plug, and a handle for easy pouring.
Summit Racing™ Non-Chlorinated Brake Cleaner cleans and degreases disc brake pads, rotors, and calipers without leaving a residue. Because it’s non-chlorinated, the brake cleaner won’t corrode metal parts.
Permatex Ultra Disc Brake Caliper Lubricant is formulated to lubricate critical caliper pins, sleeves, bushings, and pistons under the most adverse brake conditions. The environmentally friendly synthetic lube prevents parts from seizing and sticking and also helps reduce pad squeal.
Rounding out the combo are Summit Racing™ Textured Nitrile Gloves and Summit Racing™ Scott Towels in a Box. The nitrile rubber gloves are 7 mils thick so they won’t tear the first time you touch something, and the textured fingers and palm pad provide excellent grip. The box of 100 gloves should last you a good long time.
The Scott Towels in a Box are strong, durable paper towels that are very absorbent and won’t leave messy lint behind. Use them to clean off brake components, then use them and our Brake Cleaner to clean up your tools when the brake job is finished.
