Hedman 304 Stainless Steel Headers: Better Metal Means Longer-Lasting Headers

The type of stainless steel used to make headers makes a big difference in durability and corrosion resistance. For example, Hedman uses T-304 stainless steel that contains more chromium and nickel than less-expensive 409 stainless. That means Hedman headers are stronger, last longer, and hold up better to extreme temperatures that can discolor header tubes in short order. Those tubes are mandrel-bent for improved exhaust flow, too.

The headers have heavy-duty, 3/8 inch thick laser-cut flanges for excellent sealing, and are available in natural or with Hedman’s HTC ceramic coating in silver or black. Gaskets, bolts, and collectors are included.

Hedman 304 Stainless Steel Headers are available in several versions:
• Full-length for classic 1960s cars and late model Camaro, Mustang, and the Charger/Challenger cousins
• Mid-length headers for 1960s-80s Chevy Camaro, Chevelle/Malibu, Nova, and Monte Carlo
• Shorty style for late model GM, Ford, and Dodge truck
• Blockhuggers for GM LS swaps in street rods
