How a Ford Performance Parts by Mishimoto Upgraded Intercooler Improves Cooling Efficiency on a 2022–25 2.0L Ecoboost Ford Maverick

The 2022 and up+ Ford Maverick fitted with the 2.0L EcoBoost engine delivers impressive hauling and towing capabilities in a compact package. Problem is that towing, hauling, and horsepower-boosting mods can strain the factory cooling system. To solve that issue, Ford teamed up with Mishimoto to engineer the Ford Performance Parts by Mishimoto Upgraded Intercooler.

The upgraded intercooler reduces heat-related performance drop by lowering charge-air temperatures. That helps your Maverick perform consistently in hot weather or during multiple hard accelerations or extended towing sessions. Plus, the intercooler fits in the stock location with no cutting or permanent modifications for easy installation.

Other features include:
• 39.6% lower peak temperature than stock
• 73% intercooler efficiency, compared with 60% for the stock unit
• Reduced pressure drop (3 kPa vs. 5 kPa stock)
• Bar-and-plate construction for a 58% increase in core volume over the factory tube-and-fin design
• Cast aluminum end tanks are TIG-welded directly to the new core
• CARB compliant and legal in all 50 states
