ICON Premium Forged Pistons for Ford Modular V8: Custom Piston Quality without the Price Tag

You don’t have to spend a ton of money on good pistons for your high performance street or race Ford Mod motor. ICON Premium Forged Pistons were developed with help from major engine builders to provide maximum compression and performance. The pistons are made from high-strength 2618 billet aluminum alloy with lower silicon content, which makes them better suited for engine combinations with high compression or a power adder. They also have ICON’s UltraWear42 skirt coating which helps the pistons operate in temperatures over 2,000 degrees and withstand an incredible 250,000 PSI.

• Triple wound spiral locks
• Dual forced pin oiling on most applications

ICON Premium Forged Pistons are available with or without matching ring sets. Ring sets for 4.6L and 5.4L engines have a 1.5mm plasma-moly coated ductile iron top ring, a 1.5mm cast iron secondary ring, and a 3mm stainless steel oil control ring. Ring sets for 6.2L engines have a 1.2mm plasma-moly coated ductile iron top ring, a 1.2mm cast iron secondary ring, and a 3mm stainless steel oil control ring.
