Improve Gen III Hemi Performance, Measure Ethanol, and Store Air Tools with These Summit Racing Brand Products
If you want to put some more oomph in your Gen III Hemi, know how much ethanol is in your tank of E85, or need a better way to store your air tools, Summit Racing has what you need to do it. Take a look.
Summit Racing™ Pro Hemi Non-MDS Camshafts
In 2006 Mopar engineers introduced a Multiple Displacement System (MDS) that deactivates some of your Gen III Hemi’s cylinders while under light load. But MDS can stand in the way of improving engine output and even create some reliability issues as well.
A Summit Racing™ Pro Hemi Non-MDS Camshaft can solve that issue. The cams delete the MDS feature but retain Variable Valve Timing (VVT). The cam cards include the degrees of cam advance or retard that are designed into the camshafts so you can install the cam dot-to-dot and know valve events are correct. The cards also have the OEM cam part numbers to help you choose the correct cam for your vehicle.
To complete the cam installation you will need a set of non-MDS lifters, plugs to replace the MDS solenoids, and a programmer to turn the MDS system off. This OnAllCylinders article has more details on this swap.
Summit Racing™ Flex Fuel Sensor Bypass
The E85 at your gas station can contain anywhere between 51% to 83% ethanol. That means you’re guessing what the ratio of ethanol to gasoline is every time you pump E85 into your tank. That can lead to big tuning issues, especially with boosted engines.
The Summit Racing™ Flex Fuel Sensor Bypass uses a GM flex fuel sensor to measure the amount of ethanol in your fuel. The bypass allows some of the fuel to run through the sensor to measure the ethanol content, allowing the rest to flow around or parallel to the sensor to avoid a restriction in the fuel feed line. The bypass is made from billet aluminum and comes with -6, -8, and -10AN adapter fittings with methanol-resistant O-rings.
Summit Racing™ Air Tool Storage Rack
Don’t store your air tools in a big heap in some drawer or box. Get a Summit Racing™ Air Tool Rack and spend more time using your tools, and less time looking for them. The black powdercoated, 16-gauge steel rack has 15 slots for air tools and a four-inch deep shelf to hold air tool oil, fittings, clamps, and so forth. The Summit Racing™ Air Tool Rack is 22.5 inches long.
