Improve the Steering Response in Your Old Ford with a Borgeson Power Steering Conversion Box
Driving a classic Ford car with manual steering will really give your arms a workout, especially if the box is worn out. But you can fix that with a Borgeson Power Steering Conversion Box. They’re brand new, 14:1 quick-ratio steering boxes that provide better steering response and road feel. The boxes bolt in the factory mounting location and fit the stock steering linkage—no cutting or welding required. Your arms will thank you.
Borgeson Power Steering Conversion Boxes are available for many 1949-51 Ford passenger cars and trucks. Summit Racing also has a steering box kit that replaces the Bendix-style factory power steering in 1966-77 Ford passenger cars. It includes hose with fittings, rag joint, steering shaft-to-rag joint coupler, and hardware. It fits these vehicles with a small or big block V8:
• 1968-71 Fairlane/Torino
• 1968-70 Ranchero
• 1970-77 Maverick
• 1968-70 Falcon
