Improve Your C10's Ride and Handling with a Detroit Speed QUADRALink Rear Suspension Kit

What a great time we live in. It used to be that lowering the rear end of your two wheel drive 1973-87 Chevy C10 meant wedging a set of aluminum blocks between the axle and springs, then clamping everything together with U-bolts so long they had to be hacksawed off so they didn’t pogo into the ground. While the blocks provided the desired lowering amount, they also had a nasty habit of squirming out of place or cracking during use and then falling onto the ground. The U-bolts? Well, most of them were made from steel with just a smidge more tensile strength than uncooked spaghetti, eventually bending and contributing to the block’s untimely failure.

Now we have QUADRALink Rear Suspension Kits from Detroit Speed. They completely replace the factory leaf spring system with a fully-integrated 4-link unit with coilovers that dramatically improve ride, handling, and stance. And don’t fret about having to be a top-notch fabricator to install one of these kits. Detroit Speed wisely designed bolt-on versions for builders with average tools and skills, plus complete weld-on kits for the expert car crafters among us.
Features include:

  • Patented adjustable SWIVEL-LINKS™ allow the suspension to fully articulate in a smooth, solid motion without binding
  • Tuned high-durometer rubber bushings eliminate noise and deliver long-lasting durability unlike short-life Heim joints or squeaky urethane bushings
  • Adjustable track bar for correct rear axle location during hard cornering
  • Long upper links ensure pinion and U-joint angles always stay spot-on during suspension travel
  • Rear upper shock crossmember helps strengthen rear frame section
  • Precision laser-cut brackets compatible with the OE axle, wiring, and brake lines
  • C-notch plate provides additional axle clearance for very low ride heights—C-notch cut template provided for guess-free notching
  • Adjustable upper shock mount permits shocks to be relocated one inch up or down for ride height changes without affecting shock travel or ride quality
This Detroit Speed video walks you through the bolt-on kit’s installation from start to finish.
