Improve Your Car's Handling and Stance with H&R Springs, Sway Bars, and Wheel Spacers
H&R Spring has been improving the handling and stance of performance cars since the late 1970s when Werner Heine and Heinz Remmen developed their first lowering springs. You can improve your vehicle’s handling and looks with German-made H&R springs, sway bars, and TRAK+ wheel spacers.
Sport and Super Sport Springs
H&R Sport and Super Sport Springs are made from (hf) 54SiCr6 spring steel. They are pre-blocked at the factory so they will never set or sag, and are shot-peened for longer life.
The springs have a progressive rate design that will improve your vehicle’s handling by lowering its center of gravity and reducing body roll. Ride quality is very good as well.
H&R Sport Springs will lower a vehicle 1.5 to 1.8 inches on average. The Super Sport Springs will lower a vehicle 1.7 to 2.3 inches on average. They’re available for popular BMW, Audi, Mercedes, Porsche, and VW vehicles plus Ford, Dodge, Toyota, and Tesla vehicles.
Race Coilover Springs
H&R Race Coilover Springs are made from an extremely high tensile strength steel alloy. H&R says the springs are 15 percent lighter than competitor’s springs and provide 10 percent more travel to boot.
The 2.50-inch ID springs are available in spring rates from 100 lbs./in. to 1,300 lbs./in. and lengths from six to 18 inches. The 60-inch (2.30-inch) ID springs are designed for Euro-spec cars like the Porsche GT3. They’re available in rates from 20 lbs./in. all the way up to 3,996 lbs./in.
Sport Sway Bars
Made from high tensile strength 50CrV4 steel alloy, H&R Sport Sway Bars smoothly adjust to changing suspension transitions. That means your car will respond quicker sharp turns or road surface banking. The bars will also improve lateral stability and cornering grip while reducing body roll. Many Sport Sway Bars have adjustable ends to set bar stiffness to your liking—for example, a stiffer bar will allow more precise handling at the track.
H&R Sport Sway Bars come with urethane/Teflon composite bushings that prevent squeaks and eliminate the need for lubrication. They’re available for popular European, Japanese, and domestic performance cars.
TRAK+ Wheel Spacers
H&R TRAK+ Wheel Spacers move your wheels and tires outwards so they fit more flush with the fender, allowing you to fill the wheelwells with nothing but wheel and tire. The wheel spacers are manufactured from a special proprietary alloy that is lighter and has a higher tensile strength than 6061-T6 billet aluminum. They also have a full contact hub design like factory hubs for even load force distribution and lateral support.
TRAK+ DR Series Wheel Spacers are available in widths from 3mm to 20mm and require longer wheel bolts/studs, not included.
TRAK+ DRS and DRS-MZ Series Wheel Spacers are available in widths from 5mm to 20mm and come with longer wheel bolts/studs.
TRAK+ DRA Series Wheel Spacers are available in widths from 20mm to 65mm. They bolt to the hub with special wheel bolts (included) and provide new threaded holes for the existing wheel bolts.
TRAK+ DRM Series Wheel Spacers are available in thicknesses from 15mm to 65mm. They bolt to your existing wheel studs with included nuts, and the wheels bolt to the spacers with the included studs.
Summit Racing also carries H&R Spring wheel bolts, wheel studs, and wheel-bolt-to stud conversion kits.
