Improve Your First-Gen Camaro’s Handling with a Ridetech StreetGrip Bushing Kit

You may never have heard of suspension stiction, but you’ve definitely felt it. Stiction is the friction created by suspension components like bushings and ball joints. That friction prevents control arms, sway bars, and steering linkage from operating smoothly, which in turn compromises handling.

Replacing worn-out bushings with new OEM rubber or polyurethane bushings won’t solve the problem long-term. Rubber bushings are designed for ride comfort, not handling. Rubber also deteriorates over time and will eventually seize up. Polyurethane bushings require regular lubrication to prevent squeaks and seizing.

Fortunately for owners of first-gen Camaros and 1968-74 GM X-body cars, you can eliminate control arm stiction with a Ridetech StreetGrip bushing kit. Made from Delrin material, the bushings will eliminate control arm shift, reduce deflection, and resist binding at extreme alignment settings for more consistent and predictable handling. Delrin is self-lubricating, never seizes, and has an exceptionally long service life with zero maintenance.

The Ridetech StreetGrip front control arm bushing kit includes the bushings plus inner and outer sleeves for the factory upper and lower control arms. You can learn more about the StreetGrip bushings in this Ridetech video.
