Ever since the oil companies were mandated to decrease the amount of zinc and phosphorus (ZDDP) from our favorite oils, there’s been a huge uptick in flat tappet camshaft failure.

COMP Cams has the solution with their High Energy DLC Flat Tappet Lifters. The secret to their increased longevity is the new diamond-like carbon surface treatment (DLC) that produces an extremely hard, tough, and slick face that greatly reduces friction. That extends the life of both the lifters and camshaft while significantly reducing the likelihood of flattened cam lobes. Additionally, DLC virtually eliminates the need for the traditional break-in procedure associated with cast iron camshafts and flat tappet lifters.

COMP Cams High Energy DLC Flat Tappet Lifters are compatible with all cast iron and steel camshafts. They are available for Chevy 265-400 small block, 396-454 big block, and 348/409 W-series engines.
