Install LS Cam Bearings, Remove Clutch Head Screws, and Jack Things Up with These Summit Racing Brand Tools

You’re not a cave man. You’re a gearhead who uses the right tools for the job. If you need to install cam bearings in an LS engine properly install and remove clutch head screws in a vintage GM vehicle, or lift up stuff, these new Summit Racing tools are just what you need.

Summit Racing™ Camshaft Bearing Bore Alignment Tool for GM LS Engines
When you’re installing new cam bearings in an LS engine block, the first four (from back to front of the engine) are usually no problem. That’s because the block helps keep the cam bearing installation tool centered in the bearing bores. But when it comes to the front cam bearing, there is nothing to keep the installation tool centered in the bore. That means the chances of that bearing going in cockeyed are pretty high.

The Summit Racing™ Cam Bearing Alignment Tool solves that problem. The tool bolts to the block and extends out 16 inches from the front cam bearing journal. It holds the bearing tool’s alignment cone perfectly concentric and in-line, ensuring that front bearing goes in dead straight every time. The Summit Racing Cam Bearing Alignment Tool fits Gen III and Gen IV LS engines.

Summit Racing™ Direct-Fit Restoration Tools Clutch Head Screwdrivers and Sockets
If you own a GM vehicle made from the 1940s through the 1960s, you’ve no doubt encountered clutch head screws. Used to secure things like headlight assemblies, truck bed fenders, and all sorts of interior trim, the screws have a bowtie- or hourglass-shaped recess to self-center the drive bit and hold it in place. A flat blade screwdriver sort-of fits clutch head screws, but it will slip and even cam-out the recess. You’ll invent all sorts of new cuss words when that happens.

That’s why we have Summit Racing™ Direct-Fit Restoration Tools Clutch Head Screwdrivers and Sockets. They have the correct bit design to tighten and loosen clutch head screws without slipping or ruining the recess. You get a set of four in the following sizes: 5/32-. 3/16-, 1/4-, and 5/16-inch. The sockets fit a 3/8-inch drive ratchet.

Summit Racing 3-Ton Farm Jack
You don’t need to own a farm to find our Summit Racing™ 3-Ton Farm Jack super handy. The bumper-style jack has an adjustable top clamp that makes it ideal for lifting, pulling, or winching. It also has a quick-release mechanism and a safety shear pin that prevents overloading. The Summit Racing 3-Ton Farm Jack is rated at 6,000 pounds capacity. Maximum height is 48 inches, minimum height is 31.5 inches. A 31.5-inch long handle is included.
