Turbochargers generate lots of heat as they generate lots of horsepower. You want to keep that exhaust heat inside the turbo to keep the turbine wheel spinning, and also keep underhood temperatures from spiking and damaging paint and heat-sensitive electronics.

Summit Racing™ Volcano Turbo Heat Shields do just that. Made from volcanic rock fiber and high-tech materials, the shields are stronger than other types, and can withstand radiant heat up to 1,800 degrees F continuous and 2,500 degrees intermittent. The volcanic rock fiber on the shields’ outer shells provides a cool carbon fiber look, too.

Summit Racing Volcano Turbo Heat Shields are available for T3, T4, and T6 turbochargers. They come individually with anchoring hooks, or in kits complete with a 50 foot roll of two inch-wide Summit Racing Volcano Exhaust Wrap for the turbo plumbing, five feet of safety wire, and two 14 inch stainless steel locking ties.
