Keep That Transmission Contained with a Stroud Safety Transmission Blanket

A transmission explosion on the track can get ugly really fast. It turns the case and internals into shrapnel that can hurt the driver, track workers, or even a spectator. You can avoid that scenario by covering your transmission with a Stroud Safety Transmission Blanket. The SFI 4.1-approved blankets are available in nylon ballistic or KEVLAR®. Both work equally well, but the KEVLAR blankets are thinner and lighter, which can be an advantage in cars with tight confines.

Stroud Safety Transmission Blankets have heavy-duty webbed straps that bolt to the transmission bellhousing to ensure that they stay in place. The blankets are available in universal-fit sizes and direct-fit sizes for Powerglide, Turbo 350/400, Lenco three-speed, NV5600, and Ford 6R80 transmissions.

Summit Racing also carries Stroud Safety Transmission Blankets for pulling trucks and tractors. The nylon ballistic blankets are NTRA-approved and protect the driver from clutch, flywheel, and bellhousing shrapnel in the event of an accident.
