The core of the system is the high-quality, billet aluminum charcoal canister that eliminates fuel odors from vehicles with vented fuel tanks. It does this by trapping the fuel vapors so they can’t escape into the environment, reducing the “old car smell” and keeping enclosed areas like garages and storage areas free of fumes. 

And don’t fret, performance junkies. Vapor Trappers do not restrict airflow or affect fuel system performance in any way. 

The universal-fit canisters install in line with your fuel tank vent hose using standard hose clamps, and support almost any inlet/outlet configuration. They are fully serviceable, meaning you can replace the charcoal media inside the canister when needed so the system keeps performing for years to come.

Vapor Trappers are available with both six- or eight-inch-long canisters in your choice of silver or black anodized finishes. You can get yours one of three ways:

• Get the Vapor Trapper canister only and devise your own method to hook it up
• The Vapor Trapper Basic Install Packages include the canister of your choice plus two -6 AN to 1/4- or 3/8-inch hose barb fittings (depending on model) and two Adel mounting clamps
• The Vapor Trapper Premium Install Packages replace the Adel clamps with 6061-T6 billet aluminum mounting clamps for a snazzier appearance
• Install packages come with choice of silver or black barb fittings

Choosing the proper size Vapor Trapper model is pretty easy. Vehicles with smaller engines and fuel tanks and/or light-use vehicles work just fine with the lower volume, six-inch vapor canisters. Cars and trucks equipped with high-performance engines, large fuel tanks, or vehicles that see frequent heat cycles benefit from the higher capacity eight-inch vapor canisters.
