Koul Tools Fitting Fixer Now Available at Summit Racing

Nothing’s more irritating than a fitting that leaks. Many leaks can be traced to an imperfection on the fitting’s sealing surface, which can be next to impossible to remove. That means replacing the fitting, which can get expensive in a hurry if you have more than one that’s leaking.

But now you can repair those fittings with Koul Tools’ Fitting Fixer. It’s a really slick design, using an inverted cone, diamond-dust coated lapping head to repair the conical sealing surface on 37° fittings and restoring the seal to the fitting’s flared tube.

Using the Fitting Fixer is easy:
• Screw the fitting into the appropriate-sized tool guide
• Fit the lapping head to a drill, extending it at least a quarter-inch from the end of the chuck
• Spray a light lubricant into the lapping head cavity. Hold the head upward to keep the lube inside
• Insert the lapping head into the guide and over the fitting
• Spin the lapping head on the fitting, releasing every two to three seconds to prevent clogging from abrasive residue
• After five to six passes with the tool, remove the fitting and inspect the sealing surface. If the imperfection remains, repeat the process until it disappears
