Lang Tools Hand and Shop Tools Now Available at Summit Racing

Lang Tools has been making hand tools, shop tools, and diagnostic and testing equipment since 1932. They even claim to have invented the ratcheting box wrench, a staple of toolboxes the world over.

Summit Racing carries Lang Tools’ high-quality wrenches, screwdrivers, pliers, sockets, and other hand tools, but we wanted to highlight some other specialty tools we think you’ll find very handy in the shop.

Basic Fuel Injection Tester Kit
With everything being fuel injected since the ‘80s, this fuel injection tester will come in handy for pressure testing most OEM EFI systems that use Bendix-type fuel injection or have a Schrader-type pressure valve. It includes a 2.5” gauge with 0-100 PSI and 0-7 bar scales, large and small Schrader valve adapters, an M6-1.00 O-ring adapter, and a tee manifold. The tester is compatible with these systems:
• American Motors
• Bosch AFC, MPC European, and Japanese (except CIS)
• Chrysler
• Ford
• GM except TBI

We also carry Lang Tools’ Basic Diesel Fuel Pressure Tester. It tests the low-pressure circuit between the lift pump and injection pump on most diesel engines. It comes with a 0-100 PSI gauge, pressure hose, a pressure relief valve, and banjo bolt adapters from 8mm to 14mm.

Brake Caliper Press
Forget screwdrivers and C-clamps—this tool makes quick work of spreading brake calipers for brake pad removal and installation. The tool evenly distributes force to prevent misalignment of the caliper pistons, and the 360 degree ratchet swing allows access at any angle. It even has an extended reversing lever to easily change from caliper spreading to retracting. The caliper press works on single-, dual-, and quad-piston calipers.

Master Pulley Remover and Installer Set
This set makes short work of removing and installing pulleys with common 3/8 inch-16 threaded shafts like power steering pumps and belt-driven accessories used on many GM, Ford, and Chrysler engines. It also works on belt-driven vacuum pump and pressed-on water pump pulleys on GM four- and six-cylinder engines.

Spindle and Axle-End Thread Restorer Kits
Don’t trash those spindles or axle shafts just because the threads or splines are stripped. Lang Tools’ Thread Restorer Kits can repair or renew damaged threads on the front-wheel drive vehicle spindles, ATV and UTV axle ends, and front and rear floating axle housings on light and medium-duty pickups, SUVs, and vans.

The kits come with thread restorer dies in the sizes commonly needed to refurbish damaged or corroded spindle threads and axle ends. Kits for floating axles also include a special driver socket that lets you use a 1/2 inch drive ratchet with the thread restorer dies.
