Lower Your Truck and Keep the Factory Ride with an IHC Suspension Lowering Kit
IHC Suspension got its start building lowered trucks. After installing about a zillion lowering kits, they figured out what works and what doesn’t and put that experience to work making their own suspension components.
IHC Suspension focuses heavily on ride quality, something that’s often sacrificed to get a truck in the weeds. For example, they use adjustable lower control arms to lower the front end. You can align the truck to factory specs and eliminate the need for drop spindles. That allows you to use factory shocks, springs, and spindles to maintain the ride quality the OEMs designed into your truck.
IHC Suspension makes a bunch of lowering kits to lower your 1988-22 Chevy and GMC 1/2-ton truck up to five inches in front and seven inches out back (depending on the year). The complete kits feature tubular front control arms with Delrin bushings. The lower arm is adjustable for height using the included spacers. The upper arms have new ball joints and built-in camber correction—no need for additional bushings or offset ball joints to align the truck.
The rear of the truck is dropped using a flip kit with the correct pinion angle built in (no shims required) and nitrogen gas-charged shocks. Most kits come with bolt-on C-notches made from 1/4-inch thick steel and nitrogen-charged gas shocks. Some kits also use lowering shackles. The kit for 2019-2021 short bed trucks comes with rear helper air bags.
We also have IHC Suspension Kits for these trucks:
• 2021-23 Ford F150 4WD, 3-inch front/5-inch rear drop
• 2019-22 RAM 1500 2WD, 3-inch front/5-inch rear drop, includes progressive-rate rear springs and rear four-link relocation kit
Summit Racing also carries the IHC Suspension front control arms; coil springs for GM and RAM; rear helper air bag kits for late-model GM and Ford; and other components.
