Mahle Forged Piston Kits for Mopar Gen III Hemis: Race-Proven Horsepower

You can’t go wrong dropping Mahle forged pistons in your Mopar’s Gen III Hemi engines. Using the experience developing parts for professional race teams, every Mahle kit is designed to reduce friction (which frees up some horsepower) and increase engine life. The pistons have fully machined crowns, CNC-finished pin bores, and are hand-deburred. The slipper-style skirts are treated with Mahle’s GRAFAL® coating to reduce drag, piston noise, scuffing, friction, and cylinder bore wear. A dry lubricant phosphate coating in the pin bores and ring grooves helps prevent galling and microwelding during initial engine startup and break-in.

Summit Racing offers three versions of Mahle pistons:

PowerPak Piston Kits for street performance feature pistons made from 4032 aluminum alloy for tighter cylinder to wall clearances and improved temperature stability. PowerPak Kits are available for 2003-21 Gen III Hemi.

PowerPak Plus Kits designed for competition use. They feature pistons made from low-silicon 2618 aluminum alloy that better resists detonation—ideal for engines running nitrous or other power adders. PowerPak Plus Kits are available for 2003-21 Gen III Hemi.

Pro Series Piston Kits for 2005-10 Gen III Hemi are for pro-level oval, dirt, track, and drag racing. Forged from 2618 aluminum, the pistons are milled to save weight and feature lateral gas ports for improved sealing, asymmetrical valve pockets, and ring grooves machined for lightweight, low-drag ring packs.

All Mahle Forged Piston Kits for Gen III Hemi come with low-drag piston rings, steel wristpins, and race-proven round wire locks to complete the installation.
