Make Precise Cuts, Double-Flare Brake Line, and Do Easy Pad Swaps on Multi-Piston Calipers with These Tools from Summit Racing

Who wants to make clean, precise cuts in metal, flare brake line on a vehicle or in a vise, and make spreading pistons in four- and six-piston brake calipers a breeze? You do, that’s who. That’s why Summit Racing carries these tools to help you do all three tasks.

Summit Racing™ Compact Plasma Cutter
The Summit Racing™ Compact Plasma Cutter is ideal for a home shop. It can make precise cuts through steel, aluminum, cast iron, and stainless steel up to 3/8-inch thick. That makes it ideal for bodywork, removing mounts and brackets from frames, and cutting parts for fabrication. Power output is adjustable from 20 to 40 amps. The Summit Racing Compact Plasma Cutter can be used on 120- or 220-volt power and comes with hand torch, ground, clamp, and welding mask. A 60-70 PSI air supply is required.

Summit Racing™ On-Car Flaring Tool
Sometimes you have to repair a brake line on the vehicle instead of on the work bench. Our On-Car Flaring Tool lets you make high-quality 45-degree SAE double flares in 1/4- and 3/16-inch steel, nickel and copper tubing, even in tight spaces. You can also remove the handle and mount the tool head in a bench vise to make all the flares your heart desires. The Summit Racing™ On-Car Flaring Tool comes with 1/4- and 3/16-inch punches, positioning bolts, and lubricant.

Frozen Rotors Brake Caliper Piston Spreader
Most caliper piston spreaders are designed for OEM type single- or dual-piston calipers. The Frozen Rotors spreader is designed just for high-performance four- and six-piston calipers. The tool first spreads the pads, then evenly retracts the pistons back into the bores with one squeeze of the levers.

The Frozen Rotors caliper piston spreader is easy to use. The spreading plates fit one way for six-piston calipers; for four-piston calipers, just turn the tool 90 degrees. The amount of throw is adjustable using one of three settings on the outside plate.

The Frozen Rotors caliper piston spreader is made from steel and is powdercoated for durability. The slider is cadmium plated, and the pivot bushings are made from nylon to ensure smooth action.
