Make Room for Big Tires with a Detroit Speed Narrowed Fuel Tank for 1964.5-70 Mustang

Tubbing an early Mustang? The factory fuel tank is going to give you fitment problems. Detroit Speed whipped up some narrowed fuel tanks to fix that. The TIG-welded stainless steel tanks hold 16 gallons and fit in the factory tank location, providing ample clearance for mini-tubs and exhaust systems up to 2.5 inches in diameter.

Designed for both carbureted and fuel injected engines, the tanks features an internal fuel tray and in-tank baffling, and front mounted 3/8 inch NPT pickup and return fittings compatible with -8 AN fuel lines.

The tanks for carbureted engines have provisions for an electric fuel pump. The tanks for fuel injected engines come with a Walbro GSS340 electric in-tank pump that delivers 55 GPH of fuel at 60 to 65 PSI.

Then there's the Super Tank 1000 Series fuel tanks. Designed to support up to 1,000 horsepower, the tanks have dual 190 LPH electric fuel pumps with electronic controllers, a baffled sump, and corner pickups to eliminate fuel starvation during extreme cornering.

Summit Racing also happens to carry Detroit Speed’s Mini-Tubs for the Mustang, which makes your shopping quick and easy.
