Make Working in the Garage More Comfortable with Shop-Sol Seating and Creepers

Working in the garage is, well, work. But that doesn’t mean you have to be uncomfortable. Having supportive seating at the workbench or around the vehicle will help you work longer with less stress on the ol’ body.

Under-Vehicle Creepers
Summit Racing offers two Shop-Sol under-vehicle creepers. Both feature a fully-welded 1 inch tube frame and a thick, extra-wide 20 inch bed with a contoured headrest. The standard creeper has a 500 pound capacity, six 3 inch diameter industrial casters, and a mere 1.5 inches of ground clearance to get you under low-slung vehicles. The truck creeper is rated at 450 pounds capacity, has six 5 inch casters that can roll over air hose, and 3.25 inches of ground clearance for use under taller trucks and SUVs.

Interior Creepers
When you get tired of standing on your head or twisting like a pretzel when working under a dashboard, get one of these interior creepers. They feature an ergonomically contoured bed that provides comfortable support when you’re doing under-dash work. The interior creeper for cars has a latch-style mechanism to adjust height from 15 to 25 inches high, plus a removable kneeling pad. The creeper for pickups and SUVs has a one-touch pneumatic adjuster to place the creeper at the exact height you need.

Welding Stools
As far as we know, Shop-Sol is the only company that makes a work stool just for welding. The seat is made from a polyurethane material that will not fall apart when hit by sparks and spatter, and wipes clean when you’re done welding. The stool is rated at 300 pounds capacity and has a steel tool tray, four 3 inch diameter casters (two with locking mechanisms), and a ring-style height adjuster. Choose from low (16.5 to 21 inches) or high (19 to 26 inches) seat height versions.

Sit-Stand with Swivel Seat
If sitting for long periods is not an option, this is for you. The Sit-Stand seat is designed to give you back support while you stand, making it more comfortable to work. It has an ergonomically-formed padded seat/support that can be angled; it also rotates left or right as you do, and automatically returns to the 12 o’ clock position. The cam-lock system allows you to easily adjust seat height from 24 to 34 inches, and the strong tubular steel frame won’t tip when you sit or lean back. The Sit-Stand even has built-in rollers for easy movement around the shop.
