Make Your 1963-87 C10 Really Handle with a QA1 Coilover Conversion System

Upgrade your classic C10’s front suspension to modern coilovers with a QA1 Coilover Conversion System. It has everything you need—tubular crossmember, control arms, rack-and-pinion steering, and your choice of single-adjustable, double-adjustable, or MOD series coilovers—to improve handling and ride quality, plus the ability to adjust ride height up to six inches. That’s a good deal for a bolt-on kit. Features include:

Crossmember
The tubular steel comes powdercoated and ready to install with no cutting or welding of the truck’s frame required. Summit Racing has compatible QA1 engine mounts that allow you to bolt up a Gen I small block, big block, or LS engine in the factory location so you can use a stock-length driveshaft.

Rack-and-Pinion Steering
The power rack-and-pinion unit provides quicker steering and a tighter feel. The increased steering angle allows better fitment of larger wheels and tires.

Increased Ground Clearance
The crossmember and tubular control arms make the frame rails under the cab your truck’s lowest point, providing an additional two inches of ground clearance.

Choice of Spring Rates
The Coilover Conversion Systems are available with your choice of 650, 750, or 850 lb./in. rate coil springs.

Upper Shock Mounts
New upper shock mounts increase travel for a great ride and handling, even at low ride heights.

If you already have a QA1 coilover system on your truck, you can upgrade to the tubular crossmember and rack-and-pinion steering with a QA1 Retrofit Kit. It adds an additional two inches of drop (eight inches total) and shaves 70 pounds of weight off the front end of the truck. We also have QA1 Sway Bars to further improve handling by reducing body roll.

The QA1 Coilover Conversion System for 1963-72 C10 requires the use of 1973-1987 C10 spindles.
