Make Your Classic GM’s Steering More Responsive with a Borgeson Universal Street and Performance Steering Box
When you get tired of the sloppy and numb steering feel of your 1965 and later GM muscle car or truck equipped with an ailing Saginaw/Delphi 800 power steering box, replace it with a Borgeson Universal Street and Performance Series Steering Box. The all-new power boxes have a quick 12.7:1 steering ratio and a firm steering feel that’s light-years better than that tired factory box.
The Borgeson Universal Street and Performance Series Steering Boxes come with adapters to use either O-ring or flare-style hose connections. They bolt in the stock steering box location and use the factory power steering pitman arm. If you’re converting from a manual steering, you will need to get a power steering pitman arm. Pre-1977 vehicles will need a new Borgeson rag joint connector.
