A speed bump put Alumicraft Grilles in business. Way back when, founder Delmar Baker hit a speed bump driving his 1933 Ford Victoria, which shattered its plastic grille. Not wanting to have the same thing happen again, he built his own grille insert from aluminum bar stock. That one grille eventually became a thriving business making CNC-machined aluminum grilles for street rods and classic muscle cars.

Alumicraft Grille Inserts feature a CNC-machined hexagon/honeycomb design pattern that’s popular with the Pro Touring crowd. They are available with ‘2D’ straight-cut holes or ‘3D’ holes with a chamfered edge around each opening. All inserts are built in an OEM shell or a fixture made from an original grille for correct fitment and have all the necessary mounting brackets.

Summit Racing also carries Alumicraft’s Taillight Assemblies for 1967-72 GM trucks. They have one-piece CNC-machined 6061 T6 billet aluminum housings and bezels that side-mount in the tailgate jamb for that late-model truck look. Other features include CNC-machined red acrylic lenses with ball mill grooves and a full-length LED board that offers both sequential and non-sequential operation. Alumicraft even includes an LED flasher.
