Melling M-Select Performance Camshafts Now Available at Summit Racing

Melling is well known for performance oil pumps and high quality OEM replacement parts, but the company has been grinding high performance camshafts for decades. The M-Select Series hydraulic flat tappet camshafts are an affordable upgrade, ideal for everything from mild street rod engines to serious street and bracket race applications. Melling M-Select camshafts are available for Chevy, Ford, Dodge, and Pontiac V8s.

M-Select Class 1 Camshafts (200° to 215° Duration @.050”)
Ideal for mild performance engines, providing a smooth idle and good low and midrange torque increases.

M-Select Class 2 Camshafts (215° to 230° Duration @ .050”)
These cams have that loping or choppy idle everyone loves, and make good midrange torque and horsepower.

M-Select Class 3 Camshafts (230° to 245° Duration @ .050”)
These cams are for street/strip duty. They have a rough idle and a mid- to high-rpm powerband. Melling recommends a performance carburetor, high stall torque converter, headers, and an upgraded ignition with the Class 3s.

Summit Racing also offers M-Select Torque Cam and Lifter Kits that are a nice upgrade for a daily driver or work truck. They feature a hydraulic flat tappet cam and a set of Topline hydraulic lifters. The Torque kits are available for many AMC, Chevy, Ford, Jeep, and GM V8 engines.
